Service Desk Dispatch Technician

Service Desk Dispatch Technician

Job brief

We are looking for a qualified Computer Technician to install, maintain and repair computers and networks. You will be the one to ensure that adequate IT infrastructure is in place and is used to its maximum capabilities. As a computer technician, you must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions. The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality. The goal is to install and maintain high-quality networks and computer systems.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the single point of contact to the customer for all types of service requests.
  • Coordination of all support groups to ensure maximum utilization of billable resources.
  • Pre-process service requests as they arrive through email, manual entry, or direct customer input.
  • Schedule internal and field resources on the ConnectWise dispatch portal.
  • Monitor resource schedules to ensure prompt time entry on service requests.
  • Escalate service tickets to resources as needed.
  • Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and agreed outages.
  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems.
  • Support of disaster recovery solutions.
  • Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Basic remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
  • Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets.
  • System documentation maintenance and review within the company CRM.
Requirements

Network Engineer

Service Desk Dispatch Technician

Job brief

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of internal systems, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments, as well as providing technical assistance to team members with system and network requests.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Design and implement hosted and cloud solutions for customers using technologies that meet their requirements.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery solutions.
  • IT support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure.
  • Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
  • Support services for virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft.
  • Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
  • Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system: update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review.
  • Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure.
Requirements
